About Linnuntie
Linnuntie LIN-noon-tee-eh
Finnish, noun. Literally “bird’s road.” The Finnish way of saying “as the crow flies”: the most direct path between two points.
That idea guides how we work: straightforward communication, careful engineering, and the most direct route from problem to solution.
Linnuntie Engineering was founded in 2024 by Justin LaCosse, PE, PMP, a mechanical engineer and program manager with more than 20 years of solving hard problems and taking ideas from concept to working hardware. His experience spans ground vehicles, mechanisms, marine, aerospace, and rail, and the fundamentals carry across all of them: sound analysis, practical design, and clear documentation. Justin has led multiple successful product development efforts for government and commercial customers, and is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast.
